Piatra Craiului Marathon is a competition from CarpathianMan series, individual mountain running, with start in early October of each year.
The first edition of the marathon took place in 2006 and then from year to year it has become very popular among lovers of movement and healthy lifestyle.
Piatra Craiului Marathon MPC has a route length of 42 km, height difference 2150 m /-2150m (Zarnesti, Magura, Folea House, La Table, Saddle bottoms, ref. Spirla, Plaiul Road, ref. Diana, Coltii Chiliei, Zarnesti Center) and it has some age categories:
Female: 18-29 years, 30-39 years, 40 years; OPEN
Male: 18-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60 years; OPEN
Special: OPEN.
On the route are located required control points. Participants who do not pass through a checkpoint will be disqualified, the number of each competitor contest is noted in order of arrival at each checkpoint.
